Kim and Carlos’ wedding in Guanajuato, Mexico was a photographer's dream come true. The couple began their wedding day at Nueve 25 Hotel Boutique Hotel which is worth the visit to Guanajuato on its own. Carlos surprised his bride with a mariachi serenade which she observed from her bedroom balcony before a breathtaking ceremony across the street at the iconic Basílica Colegiata de Nuestra Señora de Guanajuato.
After exchanging vows, the celebration spilled into the cobblestone streets with a lively callejoneada - complete with mezcal, dancing, live music, and traditional mojigangas that lit up the night with joy and tradition. The reception took place at the historic Mina de Guadalupe, where guests were treated to a vibrant evening of fireworks, live banda, a mechanical bull, and plenty of tequila to go around. The wedding coordinators at Lovely Planners MX absolutely knocked the entire affair out of the park.
As the photographer, capturing this illustrious celebration was a dream come true. I first visited Guanajuato in 2021 and was immediately captivated by its rich history, dramatic architecture, and the romance of its century-old silver mines. Without a doubt, Guanajuato is one of the most enchanting and unforgettable destinations to say “I do.” Salud!
